CBLE exam dates and countdown

• Sit the newest released exam under the real clock this week.
• Review every miss by its citation; drill classification notes and the Part 111 day counts.
• Check your ID, proof of citizenship and reference crate against CBP's rules.

• About 10 weeks out: registration opens on eCBP; pay the US$390 fee.
• About 6 weeks out: registration closes.
• About 4 weeks out: CBP's vendor invites you to choose a test site; scheduling closes about 3 weeks out.
• 1 week out: admission notice by email.
• 2 days out, 8:30 a.m. Eastern: last moment to withdraw for a refund. Withdrawing means you cannot re-register for that exam.
• Exam day: arrive by 8:00 a.m. local time; doors close at 8:30 a.m. Bring unexpired photo ID and proof of US citizenship.
• About 21 days later: results letter by email. Appeals are due within 60 days of it (scores of 57 of 80 or more only).

When is the next customs broker exam?

Wednesday, October 28, 2026 (CBP). Registration for it closed on September 16, 2026. The next is expected on Wednesday, April 28, 2027.

How often is the CBLE held?

Twice a year, on the fourth Wednesday of April and October, unless CBP announces a different date in the Federal Register (19 CFR 111.13(b)).

How much does the CBLE cost?

US$390, paid on eCBP when you register (19 CFR 111.96(a); CBP, as at 12 Oct 2026). Withdraw by 8:30 a.m. Eastern two days before the exam for a refund.

When do results come out?

CBP emails results letters about 21 days after the exam, and posts the exam and answer key on cbp.gov.
