CBLE Past Exams and Answer Keys: What CBP Releases
CBP publishes each Customs Broker License Exam and its answer key after the sitting, on its "Past Customs Broker License Examinations & Answer Keys" page. They are US government works, so they are in the public domain (17 U.S.C. 105; CBP's copyright notice says cbp.gov content is public domain unless marked otherwise and asks that CBP be cited).

Why the answer keys need care
- CBP's keys are not updated after appeals. A question CBP accepted two answers for on appeal still shows one letter.
- Each exam tests the reference editions printed on its first page. A rule or tariff number that has changed since gives a different answer today.
- The keys cite the section but do not explain why the other options are wrong, and that is where the learning is.
How we present them
Each released exam is a full timed practice exam here, labelled "Official CBP exam (Month Year)", with CBP's questions, options and key unchanged. Every question has our own worked explanation citing the HTSUS heading or 19 CFR section, CBP's citation, and a note where a later change affects the answer. These are CBP's questions reproduced as public-domain government works; CBP has not reviewed or endorsed our explanations.
